The use of "bad language"

I was having a little walk down memory lane with the mother recently, and we got talking about when i was 6 and had my mouth washed out with soap...(thanks dad), all because i called my Aunt a Bastard, what can i say i was 6 and obviously had picked it up from somewhere...again thanks dad. After this rather annoying conversation on how i was punished i raised the question...... Wasnt my dad a bit of a hypacrite, he taught me this word, ok not knowingly but it still came from him, yet he punished me because it was wrong??

So i raise the question why is it ok to use language as adults but we repremand the children for doing it?

Whilst googling for an image as we all do, i came across a article relating to swearing increasing tolerance, i actually found it interesting and strongly agreeable, have a look, see what you think...
